Working on Javascript, how do I post form by clicking a checkbox without refreshing the page?

I'm making home automation system with raspberry pi and raspbian. I'm gonna design web page that contains checkboxes to control lights via relays.

Dont forget to keep AutoPostBack as TrueI tried this but it doesn't work

You can change your display name by clicking My Profile link above.
If the checkbox is rechecked, auto refresh should be stopped. In a page, there is one checkbox.

Found this script at How to control Auto refresh by checkbox (HTML, CSS and JavaScript forum at Coderanch) and it works very fine

See while clicking the button you should do some operation.
Drop this control on your form.
