Working on Environmenvariables - how to calculate half saturation constant and dilution rate?

I have weekly time series data (5 years *52 weeks = 260 data points) for silicate (dissolved silicate in water column) and phytoplankton species (say species i and j) abundance.

I am using Biotechnology Letters Vol 13 No 9 671-676 (1991) gives you the option to only load the font icons you need

The bromine number is an index of unsaturation.
