Why do we requires a jssecerts file when tomcat is provided with a keystore

I generated keypair via keytool into new keystore called keystore. In tomcat, in connecter for secure port, i pointed keystore to said keystore.

Equivalent support is already provided by JBOSS and Weblogic.
