With Amazon Ec2, how to monitor for 503 errors using amazon cloudwatch

Please help me on this. I can see metrics for 2XX, 3XX and 4XX HTTP back end codes, but what about 503's. Those are ones that interest me most.

This can cause backend errors.

If you are looking for a month picker try this http://docs.amazonaws.cn/en_us/ElasticLoadBalancing/latest/DeveloperGuide/ts-elb-http-errors.html worked for me well
It removes only those lines that are followed by another empty line
