How to filter entity datasource base on year if I have the date

I wonder if this technique has a specific name. I have entity which has following columns:IDNameValueDateI need to put where condition in entity data-source, something like: year(it.

The problem is, The date field is stored as a timestamp.
It appears from this small sample to be using the identity order of the Id field. Closing Date is smalldatetime in my SQL DB.
So far this is easy and adding new filters to the UI is not a problem.

I had the same problem but this solution works. Endpoint and binding both have the same name

This allows you to get at the more advanced entity API. MsgID, entity. End Time, entity. Start Time, entity. Location, entity.
