Working with Sql Server - another solutions to the Timeout connection pool error

Any advise would be hugely appreciated. I am having connection pool issues in my sharepoint application. Every time that my application tries to fetch data from SQL Server 2008 R2, I got this exception:"Timeout expired.

NETUsing SQL trusted connections with ASP. NET, connection pooling and ASP. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool.
