What is faster has_many through or actually persisting directly

I have following models and associations:Firm has_many :namespaces :through => :usersNamespace belongs_to :userUser has_many :namespacesUser belongs_to :firmQuestion is: is it faster.

Here is a workaround for this that I personally find quite effective
For example, https://manning-content.s3.amazonaws.com/download/2/b00e356-f176-4de8-85d9-a7520a1c1817/crichardson_ch02.pdf then gives you a zip file to download

One example is JPA Entity Fields (transient, persistent, version, mapped by)
It removes only those lines that are followed by another empty line
